The Leadership Council meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month @7pm, on Zoom.

Meetings in 2022 will be on: January 25th, February 22nd, March 22nd, April 26th, & May 24th

Student leaders throughout Oakland’s middle and elementary schools participating in Upward Roots are being invited to serve on this council. As a member of the Leadership Council students will:

• Build relationships across schools, coming together as an Upward Roots family

• Practice reflecting on and sharing their feedback about their Upward Roots experience and why their voice is important to share

• Provide feedback and advise UR staff & Program Teachers on improving UR programming

• Envision the future design  for this group 

• Lead, design, and carry out an inter-school service project

• Design and learn strategies to help recruit more young people to participate in UR programs at schools
